Council Building Enforcement Resolution Specialists
Expert Advocacy for Every Stage of Building Compliance.
From the moment you receive a Council notice to the final letter of resolution, we provide the technical expertise and professional representation needed to protect your property and your peace of mind.

The “Show Cause” Specialists.
Building Notice & Order Resolution.
Receiving a Building Notice is the Council asking you to “show cause” why your structure shouldn’t be altered or demolished. This is where we step in as your advocate. We don’t just look at the building; we handle the high-stakes communication.
Immediate Strategy
We review the Council’s claims and respond formally to ensure you are granted a fair and realistic timeframe.
Council Liaison
We act as the tunnel, speaking directly to the Municipal Building Surveyor to negotiate a path forward that avoids the Magistrates’ Court.
Order Mitigation
If you’ve already received a Building Order, we work quickly to fulfill the requirements and prevent further legal escalation or fines.

Inspections & Professional Reports.
To fix a problem, you first have to understand it. We conduct thorough on-site inspections to assess the “illegal” or non-compliant work against the Victorian Building Regulations.
Photo-Evidence Reports:
You’ll receive a document that is easy to read, featuring clear photos and plain-English explanations of what needs attention.
The “Stay or Fix” Assessment:
We determine if the structure is safe to remain as-is or if modifications are required.
Honest Guidance:
We don’t over-complicate things. If it’s a simple fix, we’ll tell you. If it’s complex, we’ll show you why and guide you toward the best resolution.

The Path to Compliance & Certification.
Important Note: In Victoria, there is no such thing as a “retrospective building permit.” You can’t get a permit for something that’s already finished.
However, you can still achieve compliance.
Certificates of Compliance: As Registered Surveyors, we can inspect completed work. If it meets standards, we provide the certification necessary to satisfy the Council.
Rectification Permits: If the work needs upgrading to meet safety codes, we can issue the building permits required for those specific alterations.
Section 32 Preparation: If you’re trying to sell your home, the last thing you need is a “red flag” on the contract. We help clear outstanding building issues so your sale can proceed.

Everything You Need in One Shop.
Resolving enforcement issues often requires more than just a surveyor. You may need engineers, architects, or town planners.
To save you time and stress, we coordinate the “heavy lifting” and liaise with these consultants so you don’t have to.
We can assist the coordination of:
Architectural Designers (Drafting “as-built” drawings)
Planning Consultants (Zoning & land-use)
Engineering & Soil Testing (Structural data)
