Why We Do What We Do.
Our Director, Ben, spent years working within the local government system. He saw firsthand how overwhelming it can be for a regular person to receive a legal notice about their home.
He realized that most people aren’t trying to break the rules, they’ve been given bad advice by a builder, or they’ve bought a property with hidden surprises left by a previous owner.
Ben saw a gap: the Council has plenty of experts, but homeowners often have no one in their corner who speaks both Building Code and Plain English. He grew Ethelden Consulting to be that missing link, a firm that treats you like a human being, not a file number.

With extensive experience working for local government, state government and the private sector there is no problem too difficult for us to achieve a positive resolution.
VBA Accredited:
We operate strictly within Victorian Building Authority standards, ensuring every report and piece of advice we give is legally sound.
